Woman hilariously tries to prank Sainsbury's – but it quickly goes wrong
A woman who hilariously tried to trick Sainsbury's staff into thinking she was a new employee encountered a last-ditch problem, which thwarted her plan.
Hally Galletta shared her prank on , which quickly went , amassing almost a million views. Her video began with her outlining her harmless plan. "I'm about to walk into and pretend it's my first day," she told her followers in a live recording.
The prankster headed straight for the fresh produce aisle, where she approached a shelf-stacker - informing him she arrived for an 8am-2pm induction shift and had dressed in all black as instructed. The worker promptly made a phone call, and soon, Hally was navigating her way through the back of the store and upstairs into the staff room behind him.

Keeping a poker face, she managed to convince the man she received an induction email, but as they headed towards the storage area, Hally's facial expression began to show more concern. Asked to enter a code from her supposed email to claim her uniform, she was soon forced to admit defeat.
Now planning her escape, she told the member she must have "come to the wrong store" as her code didn't match. "Oh no, I'm going to have to be late for my shift," she concluded, before making a swift exit.
"It always makes me giggle just how far you can get anywhere if you just walk in with confidence," one of Hally's followers commented, referencing a similar trick she played on McDonald's in a separate TikTok clip.
Another viewer teased: "I was wondering how you were gonna get out of it once you were let into the back," while another added: "Giving me anxiety haha. Bless him, he was so nice."
A third compared the situation to a scene from a comedy, saying: "It’s hilarious how far you get with these! Reminds me of the scene in Miranda when she ends up working at the bed shop."
While a fourth person shared a similar, but unintentional experience, admitting: "I literally turned up at a hotel for the first day of a job, but it was the wrong hotel and I still got a job there. I only realised when I got home and then couldn’t be bothered to change jobs."
Sainsbury's has been approached for comment.
